It also marks hump day so, assuming we make it to Olveiroa intact, we will officially be past the mid-point of this adventure.<\/p>\n<p>First the good news. We did not smell cow poop all night and, after taking out about a dozen flies with an old newspaper someone left in the nightstand (perhaps for this exact purpose), our accommodations weren&#8217;t too bad at all.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been very lucky with the weather here as the forecast was for clouds and rain pretty much every day. There were a few hours in the night that it came down quite heavy but as we make our way out of Santa Mari\u00c3\u00b1a, it is another great day for hiking.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chadtown.casaroberts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/IMG_1804-copy.jpg\" alt=\"IMG 1804 copy\" title=\"IMG_1804 copy.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"450\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.chadtown.casaroberts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/IMG_1805-copy.jpg\" alt=\"IMG 1805 copy\" title=\"IMG_1805 copy.jpg\" border=\"0\" width=\"596\" height=\"262\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Olveiroa is a pretty standard stop on this trail and there are plenty of newer albergues that have popped up to cater to weary walkers such as ourselves.
